CEIP El Recuerdo

El Recuerdo is a welcoming infant and primary education school located in San Javier, a coastal town in the Murcia region of Spain. We teach around 450 students aged 3 to 12, supported by a team of 35 dedicated teachers. Our school building has three floors, with classrooms, a library, a school garden, and a spacious gym where students enjoy physical activities like touchball.

We believe in learning through experience and creativity. Each year, our students engage in a wide range of projects, from environmental campaigns like Plastic-Free Day to annual themes such as history. We use project-based learning to encourage curiosity and cooperation, and we regularly host events such as a Solidarity Cross and a 1st LEGO exhibition. Bilingual exchanges with schools like Los Pinos support language learning and cultural awareness.

Located near the Mar Menor and other local landmarks, El Recuerdo is deeply connected to its community and traditions. Festivals, museum visits, and performances—like the famous San Javier Jazz Festival—are part of our cultural education. Through Erasmus+ and other international projects, we aim to broaden our students’ horizons, strengthen their language skills, and connect with peers across Europe.
